Operations Manager
General Description / Position Summary:
Reporting to Senior Warehouse Operations Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the daily activities associated with parts distribution at Flip Electronics. This includes warehousing activities, shipping and receiving functions, and the supervision of staff in accordance with customer requirements, Flip Electronics’ policies, and statutory and regulatory requirements.
The successful Operations Manager is analytical, well-organized, and an excellent communicator across multiple disciplines. Their leadership style maintains a focus on company and department goals while motivating and driving their team to performance excellence. The Operations Manager inspires their team through their examples of work ethic, commitment, and team building. They must be comfortable following documented processes, handling large amounts of paperwork, and utilizing information systems including MS Office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee, lead, and manage warehouse operations department staff, including coaching and career development.
- Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Conduct disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy
- Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
- Manage and maintain company documents such as timecards, advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
- Create and maintain records of process conformance as required by Flip’s Quality Management System, including training, housekeeping, and personnel performance.
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
- Resolve issues regarding inventory flow
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
- Report to management on activities and issues
- Availability to work extended hours as business needs require
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment
Minimum Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in managing others or leading teams in dynamic and high paced environments
- Use of ERP, SCM, or MRP system to manage inventory movement
- Experience working in an ISO certified environment (AS9120 preferred)
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written

· Comfortable using a computer 90% of the time.
· Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

- Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- ERP Software – NetSuite or Cetec experience a plus
- ECM Software – Box, SharePoint, and Network Drives
- Various packaging and material handling equipment
Work Environment:
- Climate controlled Warehouse
