RMS Business Development Director
General Description/Position Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager of Resurgent Manufacturing Services (RMS), the Business Development Director will sell the RMS business model to semiconductor original component manufacturers (OCMs) and OEM customers individually, and in collaboration with the broader Flip Electronics organization. The Business Development Director will work with the Flip OCM business development and sales teams to identify, analyze and close business opportunities for the RMS business unit. Additionally, the Business Development Director will manage and drive the sales (distribution and direct) channels for the RMS product line, overseeing the implementation of programs and initiatives meant to assist the organization in meeting its long-term goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collects and analyzes information that evaluates the organization's performance, strengths and weaknesses, and competitive landscape in order to identify new growth opportunities.
- Proposes plans for leveraging organizational resources in order to capitalize on growth opportunities and tracks performance.
- Identify OCM’s and present RMS value proposition for future partnerships and sourcing opportunities to generate revenue.
- Utilize and develop relationships to build RMS wallet share with these companies through growth within and across business units.
- Understand OCM’s business model and opportunities:
- Current processes in place for EOL, obsolescence, disposition of aged and non-moving inventory.
- Identify pain points in the above process and use RMS strategy and resources relieve the OCM of these issues.
- Create alliances and partnerships with key business groups, P&L owners, decision makers, channel organizations at OCMs.
- Work collaboratively with Flip supplier development organization to develop business opportunities.
- Manage RMS business opportunities at OCMs.
- Identification of products for initial discussion and analysis
- Develop flexible financial options and strategies for manufacturing license acquisition.
- Develop ongoing business processes with OCMs for manufacturing license acquisition.
- Help develop pricing and royalty models.
- Participate and contribute to Flip Electronics and RMS overall business initiatives and strategies.
- Complete other tasks as determined by management.
- Travel as needed.
Minimum Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree, with a preference of an electrical engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 10 years of experience developing and managing semiconductor distribution channels.
- Semiconductor sales experience required.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office applications.
