Subject: Extending Production Support of Ampleon LDMOS RF Transistors

To: All Ampleon LDMOS RF Transistor Customers

Change Type: Major

Description of Change: Resurgent Manufacturing Services (RMS) has been granted a manufacturing license from Ampleon Netherlands B.V. for certain LDMOS RF Transistor products. The specific part numbers are listed in Table 1. All products manufactured by RMS under this license will conform to the current respective Ampleon data sheet and carry the same part numbers and logo as used by Ampleon. There will be no change to the form, fit or function of the products. Additionally, the same wafer foundry, assembly and test locations as used by Ampleon will be used by RMS. Assembly tooling and process, test hardware and software, are also being licensed by Ampleon to RMS. There will be no change to the manufacturing processes as used by Ampleon for RMS manufactured products.

Benefit of Change: Ampleon has chosen to extend the product lifetime of the parts in Table 1 by licensing manufacturing rights to RMS. Customers can now be assured of long-term supply of the parts in Table 1 as they will continue to be supplied for the foreseeable future through RMS. Furthermore, design registrations for these parts will be re-opened, and they are now recommended for new designs. In addition, because of this change, the PDNs listed in Table 2 announcing EOLs for certain of the parts are rescinded (impacted parts are included in Table 1).

Impact to Direct Customers and Distributors: All new orders for these parts shall continue to be sent to Ampleon via currently established business processes. Existing backlog and scheduled delivery dates will be honored as is. Information on this transition may be obtained by contacting RMS at [email protected]. Quality/Failure Analysis: RMS shall be responsible for all failure analysis and quality related issues for RMS manufactured product. Ampleon will be responsible for quality and failure analysis of Ampleon manufactured product. The manufacturer may be determined by the date code of the part. The relevant date code for the transition will be communicated to the customer base.

Approximate Implementation Date: This change is effective immediately.
